There's alot of gardening to hold off on, but you can plant some cool weather crops right now!
Lettuce, carrots, Leeks, radish to name a few. Planting by the moon cycle REALLY works.

Ask me about the year we grew over 300 # of tomatoes (in a 10' x 40' garden) following the moon cycle.....

This is fascinating! We had a horse live to 32 and one of our sheep is 15. You need to remember when you are getting animals the FULL extent of the commitment you are making.
