There's alot of gardening to hold off on, but you can plant some cool weather crops right now!
Lettuce, carrots, Leeks, radish to name a few. Planting by the moon cycle REALLY works.

Ask me about the year we grew over 300 # of tomatoes (in a 10' x 40' garden) following the moon cycle.....

You don't need acres to grow your garden! Growing in containers of any kind can be amazing!

Bucket Gardening Guide: Container Crops for Limited Space

Five-gallon containers provide excellent growing environments for many vegetables, offering sufficient depth for root development while making gardening accessible for those with limited space. These versatile containers can transform patios, balconies, and small yards into productive growing areas.

Several vegetables perform particularly well in this container size. Tomatoes develop strong root systems when given adequate depth. Bell peppers and hot peppers thrive in the contained environment. Root vegetables like carrots utilize the vertical space effectively. Potatoes benefit from the controlled growing environment. Onions develop properly with sufficient depth, while cucumbers can produce impressive yields when properly supported.

For successful container gardening, ensure proper drainage by creating holes in the container bottom, use quality potting mix formulated for containers, and provide appropriate support structures for climbing or tall-growing plants. With these simple techniques, even gardeners with minimal outdoor space can enjoy homegrown produce.
