And finally we arrived in Windsor for an overnight stay before our flight home. Of course we found a woodland walk along the Thanes. Enjoy!

Bath deserved more time than we gave it, though really it was added to our itinerary as an access point to Stonehenge. We made the best of the time we had there, but it is worth a closer look.

We were able to visit the Roman Baths this morning. This was far more interesting than I thought it would be. The artifacts and engineering are amazing. I was able to taste the water at the end of the tour.

Yesterday we traveled from Port Isaac to Bath, where we have been traveling through time. Let's start with the end of the day, and our tour of Neolithic Stonehenge... and an appearance by Gertie the Great Bustard. I'm in awe of Stonehenge, but you know as soon as I saw a huge bird I was camera stalking her.

I found another magical walk. This one is in the heart of Port Issac.

We started our day in Port Isaac by exploring the alleys, lanes, and art galleries. We also took the Doc Martin tour, which was fun, especially Squeezy Belly Alley. Then we explored more lanes, alleys, and restaurants. It was a low key day, but we still got our steps in.

We left Penzance today for Port Isaac on the northern coast. Port Isaac was on and off the list. It was on the list because it is beautiful and we've watched too many hours of Doc Marten (which was recorded here). It was off the list because it is remote. I'm glad it made the list because it is more beautiful than it is on television. We dropped our bags and headed to lunch and hiking the cliffs. That sounds ambitious, but the cove is smaller than it looks. You can't even be blown off the cliffs, because the gorse brambles will catch you. We had a beautiful walk and had fun checking out the show locations. Enjoy...

You know how Bob and I aren't avid walkers. Snort! Anyway, we did this 4-10 mile trail today. It was advertised as 4 miles, our Fitbits registered 7 miles, and Google said it was ten miles. All we know is that it was mostly straight up and straight down and 100% beautiful. Tintagel Castle is associated with King Arthur, but we're giving it two thumbs up for tea and vegan pasties.

And we wended our way through the moor to Chapel Cairn Brae, the westernmost hill of Cornwall, a historic signal point overlooking Land's End in the distance. Then we made our way to the stone circle at Boscawen-un. We were running out of steam when a young fisherman gave us a ride home. At the stone circle I did touch every stone. And I must have gone back in time because I'm still in love with my Viking husband. I brought him back with me.
