Saturday morning farm animals…what? The mower isn’t running? NOT a problem as we employ several mowers of varying sizes and appetites here at the FAF.

A little rain today so one could expect donkeys to be out of the weather…but all four in the smaller shelter. Really?? Nice barn for them in the background

So FAF is a much smaller scale farm than a big ranch but our animals need care in this weather too. So this is what it looks like on snow covered 0* days…warming up now. They need some hay to continue with rumination (goats internal heaters) and fresh water. Ice is about as useful to livestock as it is firefighters. So fresh water and hay are necessary and they cannot get either themselves. And in case you didn’t know, they still excrete waste when it’s cold!
