Mountain Laurel Homestead We dreamed of having land and living a simpler life. In 2023 we took the leap and sold our 3k sqft house and bought 17.5 acres in Elizabethton.

We will be sharing our progress, what we have learned, and of course, our cute animals!

Josh is the real MVP of the homestead. Everyday he wakes up and cares for every person and animal. Doesn't matter if he's sick or it's raining outside. He shows up everyday and works towards making our dream a reality.

Our bees are mostly docile but can get very cranky when their hive is opened for inspection. Which is completely understandable. We would probably get cranky too if someone was opening our roof and peeking in on us. This suit offers much needed protection while also allowing breathability so Josh does not roast in the heat.
