Making great progress on our new outdoor gathering space. Great place for volunteers to gather; for groups to use; for outdoor education; for farm to table dinners; for dinner church worship; for meetings! With a kitchen and bathroom facilities, it will really enhance the grounds and our community mission to offer spiritual renewal in an agricultural setting. We can't wait to open the new Wittel Farm Pavilion.

Our native bees are back!! And the new pavilion is underway.

Thank you to The Wittel Farm for the wonderful donations this afternoon!
It's that time of year again! THANK YOU to The Wittel Farm for your amazing donations of produce to the Cupboard for our clients to enjoy! We just received zucchini, tomatoes, cantaloupe and green peppers for our clients to enjoy this week!

Produce grown right here in E-town, and donated to local food banks in Central PA, The Wittel Farm is operated by volunteers, just like the Cupboard. We appreciate all of the time and work you put into providing fresh produce for our neighbors in need!

We are so thankful for amazing community partners, like The Wittel Farm - yesterday we received fresh and gorgeous zucchini’s and cucumbers to give to our families in their boxes. This ministry project between The Lutheran Camping Corporation of Central Pennsylvania, the Lower Susquehanna Synod ELCA, and Hunger-Free Lancaster County reclaims a portion of the acreage gifts to the LCC for its original use, farming. The crops harvested are donated to local families in need, and we think that’s fantastic! Thank you! Check out Wittel Farm & consider supporting them through a donation or volunteering.
Did you know that The Wittel Farm has an easy way for volunteer farmers to sign up for Creation Days? A great fellowship or youth group adventure.
Come on out to the The Wittel Farm Saturday and grow community, justice and food! We'll be there to roll up our sleeves and send up our petitions for the land, the people who care for it and those who are fed by the fruits of their labors. If you can't come, please remember all these in your prayers and remind lawmakers to support programs that remain vital to feeding hungry neighbors. ELCA World Hunger The Lutheran Camping Corporation of Central Pennsylvania Lower Susquehanna Synod ELCA
Join our friends at The Wittel Farm and Hunger-Free Lancaster County to help with planting Saturday, May 15 and 22 from 9 a.m. to noon at 1753 Mill Rd, Elizabethtown.

Last year the farm donated nearly 20,000 pounds of produce to keep our local community fed; let's help exceed that goal this year!
THANK YOU to everyone who engaged with our video series! Because of your participation, GRIT was able to donate to the following charitable organizations and make an impact in our community this holiday season!

🌟 $50 to Speranza Animal Rescue

🌟 $150 to Cornerstone Youth Home

🌟 $100 to The Wittel Farm

🌟 $150 to York County Food Bank

Stumbled upon The Wittel Farm while on family-getaway in Elizabethtown, PA. What a nice retreat! I contacted Lower Susquehanna Synod ELCA to find out if lowly Metro D.C. Synod, ELCA folks are invited :-) . Where do you retreat?
We wanted to give a BIG THANK YOU to all of the individuals and groups that have been donating produce to us over the past few weeks.

Thank you to the Masonic Victory Garden, the Winters Heritage House Museum, The Wittel Farm, and so many local farmers! Thank you to the local E-town residents as well, who are donating from their personal garden!

Fresh produce helps our partnership with Feeding Pennsylvania and our clients are very thankful for all of your donations.

Thank you for helping your neighbors in need!
At The Wittel Farm Growing Project, a ministry of Lutheran Camping Corporation in Lancaster County, PA supported by an ELCA World Hunger Domestic Hunger Grant, God's people unite to plant, tend, harvest and donate fresh, nutritious vegetables, providing just over 47,000 pounds (about 39,165 meals) to food insecure individuals and families in 3 years.

This National Agriculture Week, we give God thanks for growers who cultivate abundance.
The Wittel Farm is at it again! They just dropped off gorgeous cantaloupe and sweet corn! Thank you to the volunteers at Wittel Farm, this wouldn't be possible without all of your hard work and dedication. Our clients appreciate it greatly!
