It was a busy weekend for some of our horses. Saturday found Kingsley, Chevy, and Ella at an IEA show. Then on Sunday Ella and Kingsley went to the Donation Derby at Loch Moy.

Shez Always Invited “Lucy” 16.1 14yr Bay Appendix mare out of Invitation Only. Lucy is a barn favorite Sweetest mare around with zero mare tendencies. Push ride from beginner lessons to a seasoned 2’6-2’9 hunter. Used for IEA and IHSA shows and is always a favorite draw for any level rider or the kids. Lucy has experience eventing up to BN and a good dressage foundation. This is the easiest mare I’ve ever owned/ridden ZERO show prep needed. Pull her off the trailer and go right in. Lucy recently competed at Colonial Classic at Devon and placed 4th and 9th out of 37 in the Low Adults over fences classes and scored a 72 for a classic callback placing 12th. She also placed 7th in the professional division out of 27 with our trainer. Lucy is very easy to maintain wears four shoes and is up to date on all her vaccinations and coggins. Clips, loads, bathes and babysits. Rides in a snaffle for everything. Only vice is she doesn’t tie without a wall behind her.

Our crew was small but mighty this weekend at Colonial Classic. Kingsley had great ribbons in two competitive divisions with Gabrielle Gephart. Lucy had fantastic rounds in the low adults and even placed very well in the hunter classic with Elizabeth Mace. I had the chance to ride both of them in the professional division and had a great time on both of them. Lucy and I even managed to get 7th out of 27 in the handy round. Both horses and humans have earned some time off.

We had a great day at Bridge Acres yesterday. Chevy did his first hunter derby, Lucy ribboned in both the 2’ and the 2’6 derbies, and Kingsley was reserve champion of the 2’6 derby. Kingsley and Lucy also got some very good ribbons in the it other divisions.

It was a good day at Bridge Acres today. Lucy and Elizabeth Mace were reserve champion in the Low Adult hunters. Kingsley and Gabrielle Claire were champion in Children’s Pony hunters.
