Canaan Farm We own a small dairy herd along with a growing herd of Registered Tarentaise-a dual purpose breed, as well as traditional beef cows.

We provide raw milk, raw milk cheese, and pasture raised beef. We are a Raw Milk Institute listed dairy. Our dairy herd consists of Jersey, Guernsey, and Brown Swiss, along with dual purpose breeds of Tarentaise and Flekvieh. Our beef herd is primarily Tarentaise and Flekvieh, as well as some Angus and Longhorn. Our cows graze on pasture yearlong and are supplemented with hay in the winter months.

Izzy is a young(ish) cow; 4 years old, and a great milk cow. Born to a beef mama (maybe longhorn/coriente) by artificial insemination to a Guernsey; she might be the only black and white Guernsey! She’s an easy going sweet cow.
