Did some tattoos today. Finally. Its a chore my brain has to be in the mode for....today was not that day so I only did 11 but thats somethin 🤷‍♀️. 35 to go out of the older group of kits lol. Whenever I tattoo is when I start tracking weight better on each rabbit. My brain gets happy when the rabbits ive already decided to keep are heavier 🤪

I wasn't going to post these girls but I couldn't help myself....ive gotta show off the chocolate does I'm holding back from the first spring litters of the year. None of them are perfect but definitely exceptional for my first year really working on this variety. At first i was thinking I would do some showing with these guys in the fall but because I hate breeding in the winter, I'm just going to breed them in September and October when they are ready so I can start up the next generation in the same year. All very solid does and I'm happy that most of the chocolate kits were does and nice enough to keep. Cant wait to see what they look like as Sr's.

Got everything organized in the rabbit kennel so I can start building my evaluation/grooming table! Also some new costum cages! Red is what's there, green is what's new. I really like 30×36 for Rex does with litters. Its always worked well for me so I have 6 of those as stackers and I'm adding 6 new 24×30s for growout and bucks. Eventually it'll be where I keep all the Rex bucks. I used to have this space a little more packed with cages but I'm building a lot of hanging style cages in a different spot so I do much prefer this setup. Much more open and feels better to work in. If I ever get my hands on more kennels like this one, id definitely make this setup again! Anyway, what I'm really excited about is my evaluation table. Ive never had one thats nice, fits several rabbits, and is a comfortable hight for me to work with them. Its going to be so fun to evaluate my litters and get rabbits ready for shows. Can't wait to pick out carpet for it 🤭

I bought these does at a show about 8 months ago and their first litters with me are now turning 4 weeks old. They both have nice foot bases and weights but the black doe peaks forward way more than the blue, but what I'm learning from the litters actually makes me like the black doe more. In the blue does litter, there are mostly bucks and most of them are pinched. Like, ugly ugly pinched. In the black does litter, the litter is mostly does and there are pretty consistent WIDE parallel feet. Id personally rather pick through a whole bunch of wide rabbit for good peak placement than a whole bunch of pinched rabbits for good peak placement. They are also full sisters from the same litter which is why I'm comparing them a little harder. Just what I'm leaning from these lines I've never messed with 🤷‍♀️
