For those who live near the Government Center and those who might visit the Government Center, on Oct. 29 we are having a jail evacuation drill beginning at 8 a.m. There will be a higher level of traffic near our jail sallyport and parking lot on the northeast side of the Government Center building.
Jail staff are acting as inmates; no actual inmates will be evacuated. This is only a drill.
