An overdue update from Back 40! First of all, thank you all for your support as we have grown. We miss seeing you all at the tasting room.
Closing our doors for the last time was an unfortunate but necessary emotional roller coater.
But when one closes, another door opens and doing so allowed us to take a giant leap in our building process.

Back 40 Meadery now resides on 10 acres of beautiful farmland and our future is bright as the summer sun. Over the next couple of months our production facility will grow from 10x20 to more than 20x40. This increased space will become the home of our big tanks and allow us to expand from 50-100 gallon ferms into Big Boy tanks.

We will also be able to keep pur own bees, host giant events and offer all of our performer friends a new venue for events.

We look forward to sharing more of pur adventures soon. Skål

Urgent Update

We’ve just received word that Back 40 Meadery has officially closed their doors.

Due to this unexpected change, our Chainmail Class has been relocated and will now be held at Inland Cider.

We appreciate your flexibility as we navigate this last-minute adjustment and continue to keep things moving for our community.

If you were planning to attend, please take note of the new location.

50 gallons of Mead made the Back 40 way! 120lbs of honey, a low sulfur yeast and fresh berries. OG 1.090. In a few weeks we will break this down into keg sized batches and get them flavored. Be on the lookout out for Twilight Dragon, Wanderlust, Shaybydoll, Island Romance and more!
