With our final event on our books completed as of today, we are at $130.68 to donate to the Humane Society of Elkhart County! We plan to drop those funds off sometime in the next week or two.

We wanted to update our awesome customers on the status of this season’s donation for the Humane Society of Elkhart County so far.

We are currently at $125 to donate so you have already helped us BEAT our donation from 2023 by $22!!!

Our family has adopted our pets over the years from the Humane Society of Elkhart County and Here Kitty Kitty Rescue. We love our pets and all animals.

We plan to continue to donate 30% of our profits to the shelter to help them care for animals. They especially need the help these days with all the extra pets they have been caring for.

If you need a companion, please think about adopting a friend! If you can’t add a furry member to your family at the moment, know that buying our lemonade will support the humane society. You can also drop off donation items to us Saturday 7/13 at our event and we will make sure the items get to the shelter for you!

It's raining cats and cats here at the Humane Society of Elkhart County!

We currently have 250 cats in our building, and we consistently are getting more and more in each day.

How can you help us when we're this full?

1 - Adopt! Through the rest of July, all adoption fees are waived, thanks to BISSELL Pet Foundation and Cathy Bissell!

2 - Foster! Even if it is just for a couple weeks, fostering cats can help us clear space for some cats who need to be in the Shelter for medical or behavioral needs. If you'd like to foster, please fill out an application on our website!

3 - Hold your Strays! If you find a stray cat, please consider keeping it in your house for the duration of it's stray hold (10 days). If you think you don't have space, you still might! Most cats would be perfectly content in something the size of a bathroom, as long as there is food, water, a litter box, and enrichment items. If you hold a cat for it's stray hold, please reach out to us at 574-475-4732.

Hello friends!

Come see us for some delicious drinks this Saturday, 7/13 at the Rock Solid Summer Swap Meet! We will be open and ready to serve you from 9am-3pm.

There will be lots of cool car stuff as well as BBQ from Fox’s Smoke ‘N’ Grill (a perfect match for our lemonade!) Classic Rock 97.7 will also be there providing great music.

What IS Brazilian Lemonade? And why is it called ‘lemonade’ if it is made with limes?

Brazilian lemonade, also known as Swiss lemonade or limonada suíça (Portuguese pronunciation: [limoˈnadɐ suˈisɐ]), is a beverage made using whole limes (yes, with the peel!,) ice cubes, sweetened condensed milk, sugar, and water.

The ingredients are blended together in a blender then strained.

The name Brazilian Lemonade is more of an American term because the recipe stems from Brazil. However, in Brazil they usually use the 2 other names.

The word ‘lemonade’ is used instead of ‘limeade’ since lime is known as Tahitian lemon (Portuguese: limão-taiti) in Brazil.

In Swiss Lemonade, the word Swiss is used because Nestle, a Swiss company, makes a popular sweetened condensed milk!

What is Brazilian Lemonade you ask? We are here to pour you a glass of knowledge on one of Brazil’s iconic beverages! Since our brand roots are Brazilian, we figured it would only be fair to share what we know so you can enjoy Brazilian Lemonade yourself!

We love to shop local for our produce and we love Lehman's Orchard!

What other fruit flavored lemonades would you like to see us try our hand at? We currently offer Classic, Strawberry Sparkle, and Brazilian Lemonade (Limeade.)

We have thought about offering Blueberry 🫐 or Raspberry but Cherry 🍒 sounds kind of good. 🤔

Picking our raspberries and strawberries every day. Will soon post next week’s schedule on tart cherries, blueberries, and currants.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by for our lemonade today! It feels so good to know that people enjoy our drinks. We sold out of all 3 flavors today (and we actually sold out of Classic TWICE 😱)!!!

Also, we are excited to report that we are MORE than 1/2 way to meeting the same amount we donated to the Humane Society of Elkhart County last year ($103.)

Our goal is to definitely beat that number this year so we can help them help the animals. 💕
