So excited to get a front row seat to this all coming together!

When you asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up… it was never this. 😂

“Certified Natural Health Professional.”

What even IS that?! 🤣

If you would have told me 10 years ago that God would transform my life SO drastically that I couldn’t do anything other than be obedient to Him to the best of my abilities, I probably would have laughed in your face.

Obedience.
Just that word used to make my entire body tense up and get ready to fight.

I’m pretty sure I’d have a diagnosis if I were born in this generation. 🤣

But God. ❤️

Tomorrow, I officially open the doors of Joyful Living at Youthful Rejuvenations, Youthful Health & Wellness, and I am completely in awe of how much HE has moved, opened doors, and orchestrated every little detail to make this happen.

I get to do what I LOVE.
I get to do it close to home.
I get to be close to my boy while he’s at school.
And I get to serve and build relationships in a community I am so excited to know better.

None of this looks like what I thought my life would look like.

And honestly?

I wouldn’t change it.

God has taken something I never could have imagined and turned it into something I can’t imagine NOT doing. 💜

Breakfast will be served! 😊

I never expected to become the breakfast provider for Elkhart and surrounding areas, but honestly, I’m not surprised.
Breakfast is a weekly dinner staple in our home.
We even had it at our wedding! We served waffles and breakfast tacos. Instead of a cake, Shipley donuts and pecan pie!

Fun fact! Elaina from Blue House Baking actually catered my wedding with her mom! We had no idea that several years later we would connect and become best friends!

We are just days away from the ‘ber months. And the wrapping up of a year that has flown by faster than any year has ever flown by for me.

And it’s got me thinking…

Christmas will be here before we know it.

And this year, I want to challenge you to think a little differently about the gifts you give.

Not more gifts.

But gifts with more meaning.

Give the jar of honey from a local farm.

The handmade cutting board someone spent hours creating.

A basket filled with locally roasted coffee, homemade jam, sourdough, soap, or something useful for the kitchen.

Give things that will be eaten.
Things that will be used.
Things that will be enjoyed long after Christmas morning.

Things with a story behind them.

Things that create memories.

Somewhere along the way, Christmas became so much about filling carts, checking off lists, and finding something just for the sake of having something to wrap.

I want to challenge us to slow that down a little this year.

Think about the person you’re buying for.

What would they actually enjoy?
What would they use?
What would make them feel known?

Maybe Christmas doesn’t need to be about giving more.

Maybe it can be about giving better.

Fewer things.
Useful things.
Beautiful things.
Things made with care.
Things chosen with intention.

That’s the kind of Christmas we want to encourage at The Barn & Basket this year.

Not more stuff.

More meaning.
