As we head into our busiest season of the year, we just wanted to take a moment to say thank you.

Running a small business often means long days, early mornings, and plenty of 16-hour shifts. Like many small business owners, we're constantly trying to balance work and family while doing the best we can for both.

We're especially grateful for our family, who helps care for our boys and supports us behind the scenes. Quite honestly, we couldn't do this without them.

And to our customers—thank you for your patience, support, and for choosing to spend your hard-earned dollars with us. We're not perfect, but every day we're working hard to create something special for this community.

We're incredibly thankful to be here and look forward to another busy summer serving all of you ❤️

Before any accolades, before people knew our name, there were just a few exhausted people trying to build something worth believing in...
And somewhere in the middle of all that was
In 2022, we bought him his first chef coat.Not because it was some milestone.Because it was simply what we could afford at the time. Back then, the bakery felt like Long nights. Empty accounts. Dreams far bigger than the walls around us.
Ryan never flinched at any of it.
That coat became part of him. Stained with butter. Smoke. Chocolate. Exhaustion. The kind of exhaustion that settles into the bones but somehow still gets up at 3am the next morning.
Most people only ever see the pastry case.They don’t see the years behind it.The sacrifice.The pressure.The silent consistency required to build something worth remembering.
Ryan was there for all of it.
Not loudly.Not for attention.Just steady. Loyal. Present.
He helped shape the soul of this place.
He stood beside me through some of the hardest seasons of my life and this business’ life. The good. The bad. The ugly. The moments where we felt unstoppable and the moments where we questioned everything.
And somehow, he still showed up the next day ready to work.
That says everything.
This Friday will officially be Ryan’s last day as our sous chef. He won’t be far, but there’s no denying this place will feel different without him in it.
If you’ve ever loved something from Pastries by Chad, there’s a piece of Ryan somewhere inside it.
Come say hi one last time before he continues his journey up North. It’s never goodbye.

There’s something special happening in our bakery lately.

Have you tasted our bread recently?

We’ve started milling our flour fresh in-house using whole wheat berries — spring wheat, rye, and einkorn — and the difference is incredible. The flavor is cleaner, nuttier, richer… the kind of flavor that reminds you what bread is supposed to taste like when the ingredients are allowed to speak for themselves.

Sure, it takes four times as long 🥴
But you’re also getting flour with more aroma, better texture, fuller flavor, and grain that hasn’t been sitting on a shelf for months losing its character. Fresh milling brings the grain to life — and you can taste it.

No shortcuts. No pretending. Just real ingredients, treated with respect.

And honestly, one of my favorite parts has been getting to do it alongside my son — teaching him where food comes from, why quality matters, and that sometimes the harder way is the better way.

Because great bread starts long before it hits the oven. ❤️🥖

During slower months, we can usually squeeze in last-minute orders. But this time of year? Dates fill FAST and we absolutely hate having to tell people no. 🥺
