I could buy myself flowers
But I grow them instead
Because Black people deserve them
before we’re dead.
Imagine being out there
Hatin’ on me
Because I give out
Food and flowers, for FREE.
Living by faith
Simply following Jesus’ commands
To take care of others
While walking this land.
Whoa be to those
Sending another county letter
Anonymous, pfft!
Y’all got to do better.
We love brothers & sisters, actively…
Monitoring spirits can’t comprehend
But I assure you, Nourishing Radical Love
Always gon’ win.

Thank you to all that have stepped up to stand alongside us as we continue to battle the cowards of Walworth county. Because truly that is all bullies are. And they definitely heard your calls as another bogus anonymous land use violation has been issued. We know elected officials don’t like being called out on their lies. So, in our case, more lies are concocted and calls made to government friends to send letters.

Silly rabbits, I farm for free, 150 families fed last weekend, y’all can’t phase me. And not a one of them on the property. Just out here filling up food pantries with good friends and family. Agitating evil spirits, thoroughly. Those who have can send support for our legal fees, attorney, brown paper bags for groceries, or share our story for all to see.

Y’all take care of one another. Share stories too, wish mine were of nothing but flowers and melons but what can one do? Except continue to p**s ā€˜em off by spreading Nourishing Radical Love in all we do.

For the love of rollin’ into Feed ā€˜em Freedom season…

Over the weekend my boys and I spent time feeding the moos cattle cubes, harvesting handfuls of okra, watering plants, packing Love Sacks/boxes for the first round of food drops in Milwaukee, picking blooms for bouquets, prepping for share season to begin, and conversing about what it looks like to continue putting in the work to transform the way we feed one another across southern WI, with Littles and youth, at the forefront…

Just as the land desperately needs rain, the need for a divestment from harmful systems rooted in stomping on others’ existence is equally as urgent. As Bayard Rustin once said, ā€œWe need, in every community, a group of angelic troublemakers.ā€ So we’ll keep following Jesus’ lead, feeding e’eryone within our reach, and causing the same typa animosity, because we do it for free, fueled by love and community.

Take care of one another. Share stories too. Spread Nourishing Radical Love in all you do. Keep the pressure on Lafayette township too!

Monday Moos and Farm News…

šŸ¤°šŸ½Cosmo is due next month!! She is appreciative of being able to munch on hay for extra sustenance and a lil’ less walking during these excessively hot days we about to endure.

šŸ”„ And speaking of heat… Curdy and Toot T***s both just had theirs and we still need folks putting it on the Town of Lafayette supervisor, A.G. Shaw, at 262-723-4321, and ask him why he lied to pass an ordinance specifically targeting the farm when the sheriff found zero problems with parking last year when they were continuously called out to the point of suggesting a restraining order.

A little behind on story shoutouts but…

🌈 Gratitude to all those: sending hay buck$, as well as Chickens & Littles sustainable support, to the ladies and babies, looking in to connections/ordinances/shady ish/and more, we appreciate all the help, support, and love received. Literally had a pickup truck stopped on the road stalking the farm in front of our pole barn on Saturday night. We will not back down! and have all intentions of continuing to live like Jesus by flipping tables, calling out hypocrisy & injustice, and loving others actively. Those able can send $5 (that’s one bale) hay buck$ to: venmo Scarlett-Salamone, cashapp $LovelandAcresFarm, or donate to our mission via our website. Story shoutouts will resume soon!

šŸ‰ The watermelons are crawling and soon the abundance from our community garden and pantry plots will begin to overflow. To those signed up for Love Shares, we’re about a week or two out from start date. Our harvests begin a bit later and go into November, with purple potatoes and fall squash galore set to end the season. Looking to support the farm and get some weekly/biweekly groceries? Signup for a share. Perhaps some Bodacious Bouquets are calling…the first dahlia is just about ready to open!

Y’all know what to do…

From pickin’ corn
To plantin’ potatoes
Holding baby lambs
While relaxing at the table.
Hatching chicks
Looking wild while
Planting Loveland melons
Always willing to share stories, land, and lessons.
Filling pantries with abundance
Sending leftovers for our critter crews
There really isn’t much he wouldn’t do
For a milkmaid and her menagerie crews.
So we whoopin’ and hollerin’
About to make a big fuss
Cuz’ it’s Farmer Johnson’s birthday
The BEST around in the veggie business.
So help us wish him all the good things
Like timely rain and minimal weeds
Harvests that pop right on time
It’s Farmer Johnson’s day to shine!
