Beau and Andrea Tiffany took over the reins at Adagio Vineyards in 2025, inspired by the vision and craftsmanship of the founding owners. Beau has over 20 years of experience in the automotive industry, including NASCAR, managing repair shops, and manufacturing. He grew up spending time with his grandfather fixing equipment, watching him make homemade wine, keeping bees, and working around the farm. Today, he continues the tradition of beekeeping with his two sons and is excited to begin his journey into the art of winemaking. Andrea, with a background in corporate finance, shares Beau’s passion and brings a deep appreciation for a good glass of wine. Together, they are dedicated to honoring Adagio’s legacy while nurturing its growth in the years to come. The History:
The vision for Adagio Vineyards began in 2006 when founders Tim and Jan Wahl cleared the land, carved out roads, and planted the first cover crop across the rolling hills of the Yadkin Valley, an ideal setting for a vineyard. The first grapevines were planted in spring 2009, followed by a second round in 2012. With dedication and a deep appreciation for both classical music and winemaking, the Wahls built the winery and tasting room just in time for the 2013 harvest, officially opening to the public in May 2014. The early years brought both triumphs and challenges. Harsh winters destroyed much of the young Chardonnay, requiring replanting and careful cultivation. As with all vineyards, nature plays a central role; late frosts, heavy rains, and unpredictable weather constantly test the vines’ resilience. A cool, wet spring followed by a hot, dry summer remains the winemaker’s dream.
