Here's some information on the Canning Plant in Perry:

The plant is located at 1701 Houston Lake Road here in Perry. It will be open to the public in June and July ONLY. It will be open Monday-Thursday from 7am-11am.

**THIS IS A FREE SERVICE, YOU JUST NEED TO BRING YOU OWN JARS, LIDS, BANDS, YOUR RECIPE AND ALL INGREDIENTS**

What to bring:
Jars, lids, bands, product to be canned, your recipe, and all ingredients. Patrons are welcome to bring their own bowls, knives, measuring cups, spoons, and other tools to assist with canning. The plant also has many of these tools available for use. All glass jars will be sterilized and warmed before filling with product and cooking.

Shell, Wash, and Blanch - Peas and Beans
Peas - frozen or jarred/canned
Beans - frozen or jarred/canned
Blanch, Cut, and Cream - Corn
All items processed:
Tomatoes
Peaches
Soups
Salsa
Green Beans
Corn
Peas
Garden Variety Beans
Jellies/Jams

Breeders or Butcher size ready to go, I have 4 unspoken for and need them sold. $300 each just trying to recoup feed costs. If butchered this should get you about 180 lbs of meat at an avg of $2.50lb.

$300 to us and pay the butcher when you pick up your meat (typical cost is $120-150 butcher fee depending on how much sausage you order)

These are GOS and a few GOS/Hereford crosses.

I also have 1 weaned barrow left $50

And a proven, registered sow. $300

📣📣 Ken and I talked it over and have decided to sell all of our pastured pigs. We have a few more ready for butcher. We also have a registered sow looking for new pasture.
These are priced to sell, We're cutting our losses and getting out. We hate to disappoint our customers but we have too many irons in the fire and we need to prioritize our family time and primary obligations.

If you'd like one of these please contact me in the morning to make arrangements. I have 4 to go to butcher Monday and 5 to go next month.

If you've already made arrangements with me regarding boxes those arrangement are still good. I should have that meat next week.

Due to price increase on the chicken feed and the slower production for this time of year our price will increase until forage grows again and production increases.
