Animal impact is real. We currently cover about 1,000 square feet of pasture per day that our birds forage, eat, trample and p**p on. It works and it's a big benefit of raising birds on grass. But it has to be managed appropriately and does increase how much time and labor we have to spend on the animals.

Nine Valley chefs went head-to-head Monday night in Staunton, cooking with local ingredients and a little pressure, all to raise money for a community gardening project working to make fresh, affordable produce more accessible in Staunton. WMRA’s Bridget Manley reports.
