Chilly start and end to the day, but it looks like it’s going to warm up overnight. Staying warm and fed is everyone’s priority in this weather - 2 and 4-legged!

It’s been a busy week! On Tuesday Ursula of Flatland Farm (Rosie of Flatland Farm x Magnus of Flatland Farm) went to her new home at Parmele Ranch Co. in MO (Dan Parmele). Looking forward to see how she matures for them! It was great meeting Lonnie Taylor, Ranch Manager, who was chauffeuring Ursula(sorry for cutting off your head in the photo Lonnie). Thank you to Jacob Larson Consulting for getting the two farms together!

Today is our 30th wedding anniversary! Thought it would be fitting to pick a song for Jamie since music is what brought us together 30+ years ago on a high school marching band field. Chris Ledoux is one of our favorite country artists and “Look at You Girl” says it better than any card. Thank you to all who have been a part of our journey thru life!

I know 2 things today:

1- It’s cold out
2 -the compost pile is hot

Mark is out finishing cleanup here at home in the pens while I’m making zucchini bread with a zucchini I found in the garden yesterday.

Kale and carrots are next - best year for carrots, ever. Hope they are sweet!
