Farming always comes with uncertainty, but this spring has been especially tough. The multiple frost events in April have greatly impacted our orchard, resulting in a devastating loss of our cherry, peach, and apple crops. The exact percentage of the loss is unknown but it’s estimated to be a near-total loss of cherries and over an 80% loss of each the peach and apple crops.
We know many of you have traditions tied to visiting us for these fruits, and it’s incredibly hard to share this news. Our U-Pick Adventures and offerings in the Farm Market will be affected—we expect availability to be extremely limited, with U-Pick of these fruits possibly not even being able to open at all. We will continue to share updates as we learn more.
Having lost this massive amount of our 3 biggest crops all in one year, your support in other ways means more than ever. Support can look like – shopping in the Farm Market, visiting the BIG BackYard, enjoying food and treats on The Deck, booking your next private event here, participating in other U-Pick Adventures, attending our seasonal events, recommending us to friends, and liking/sharing/interacting with our posts!
We open for the 2026 season on June 5, and we’re moving forward with the hope of better days ahead. Thank you for standing with us—we’re so grateful for this community and the love we’ve been continually shown since 1902.
❤️ Fruitfully yours,
The Milburn Family
