We found the cutest little place downtown Springfield, Georgia today. “District Square” is a unique food hall featuring locally owned kitchens, drinks, events, and more, making it one of the top family-friendly restaurants in the area.
I loved riding down the country roads, enjoying the views of fences and farms. It reminded me of when my sister and I were kids, our dad would take us on similar rides. We’d chat about and laugh all the way! Life is good!❤️

Toothy Tuesday! Our gentle giants had a dental visit today! They did great! Thank you! Carter Veterinary Services

Do you know what horse “teeth floating” is?
Horse teeth floating is the veterinary procedure of filing and smoothing down sharp enamel points, hooks, and ridges that naturally develop on a horse's cheek teeth.
Why It Is Done
• Continuous Growth: A horse's teeth continue to erupt and grow throughout their life.
• Uneven Wear: Because a horse's upper jaw is wider than its lower jaw, circular chewing motions create sharp enamel points on the outer edges of the upper teeth and inner edges of the lower teeth.
• Pain Prevention: Sharp points can cause painful cheek ulcers, tongue lacerations, and difficulty chewing.
• Performance: Floating improves bit acceptance and ride comfort for horses used for riding.

(Jamison and Kiss were partially sedated during the procedure and were perfectly comfortable❤️)

… Did I say I have a broken tooth as I speak?? Geeze. Horses first.

Sumbody like me needs to hear this. Let’s forgive ourselves and each other. Then let it go. Luv you! Good night. ❤️

Don’t look!!!
How am I gonna have special visitors tomorrow when my house looks like this?? How???
I’m going to concentrate on what really matters.
I’ve been a slob, a hoarder, a disorganized, exhausted mess. I haven’t brushed my hair in three days.
But tomorrow is going to be special! My big sister is coming to visit for a few days with her husband! I want to laugh and share memories and get those gigantic kind of hugs that make you not want to let go. I’m going to rake all the unnecessary clutter to the side. and I’m going to remember what really matters. Plus… my sister won’t care… she is a mess just like me!❤️

The Legend of "Stingy Jack"

• The Myth: The tradition comes from the Irish tale of "Stingy Jack," a man who tricked the Devil and was barred from both Heaven and Hell after dying.
• The Wandering Soul: Jack was forced to wander the earth with only a burning coal for light.
• The Original Lanterns: In Ireland and Scotland, people carved scary faces into turnips, potatoes, and beets with a candle or coal inside to frighten away Stingy Jack and wandering spirits. These glowing root vegetables were called Jack-o'-lanterns.

The Switch to Pumpkins

• Immigrant Traditions: When Irish and Scottish immigrants moved to North America in the 19th century, they brought their custom of carving root vegetables with them.
• A Better Canvas: They found that native American pumpkins were much larger, easier to carve, and ideal for holding a candle.
• Harvest Season: Pumpkins naturally ripen in October, making them abundant and closely tied to autumn harvests that coincided with Halloween.

Carve a pumpkin 🎃 with someone you love and make some memories!
