Sleepy Chicken Farm

Sleepy Chicken Farm We are a small organic farm located just east of Ellensburg. We currently sell fresh, organic, free range chicken eggs. $8 a dozen.

We also rent poultry processing equipment including plucker and everything you need to grow your own. We keep an open door policy on the farm. we happily invite visitors to see how our eggs, produce, chickens and turkeys are raised.

Appetizer kits im obsessed with;
Smoked Bree cheese, cherry tomatoes, peaches, and a mix of herbs including parsley, Oregano, rosemary and if you want to add olive oil and Balsamic glaze its a beautiful snack on cucumbers, or a baguette sliced thinly.

We provide the cheese, tomato, peaches, herbs and you individualize your favorite flavor.
Each kit is 55$ only 2 available each week so reserve early.

This one pictured is pretty chill but more options in the pan is absolutely beautiful and has an amazing flavor profile. I love a beautiful cracker and veggie option.

Late night harvests. Life is super busy with it seems everything ripening at once and needing to be put up. This is just glimpse of a tiny bit of one day. Picking is the fun and easy part; cleaning, pealing then canning or freezing is the time consuming part.

Duckling update: we have 6 older ducklings who are absolutely adorable and already to me feeding them. We also have a momma duck by the coop who has hatched so far 4 ducklings. They are a beautiful mix of Khaki Campbell and Indian Runners. More adorable photos to come

Our new Leghorns have finally started laying eggs. They typically start with small eggs then lay well. Leghrons are an amazing breed. They are smart, predator savvy, really good at foraging and love wandering around the farm for fresh bugs, grass and my favorite ticks. So thankful to our new flock addition. Luckily leghorns are great egg producers, heavy foragers and smart birds. Meaning those white eggs in your dozen come from a smart and healthy chicken. Best egg flavor to date i would bet.

Our water division of the flock was enjoying the turkey tractor area this evening. Grayson our big goose, adult ducks and our 6 ducklings were closely following the turkey tractor. The turkey tractor moves at least 1 or 2x a day to provide fresh grass and bugs for the turkeys. Fortunately for the water division those turkeys are messy eaters when it comes to their organic feed. Those ducks quickly clean up the spillage and provide comedic relief with their duck antics.
