There have been a lot of things going on behind the scenes here on the farm, this is one of them. We are so excited to take part in this collaboration with Skagit Woolen Works at Fiber Fusion. Skagit Woolen Works is a woman run fiber mill in Mt. Vernon, they did a fantastic job turning our wool into beautiful yarn, and our waste wool into wool pellets.

We will not be at the Ellensburg Farmers Market today, farmer Eric is away doing some work for his day job. We will be back next Saturday, in the meantime, the farmstand is open all weekend, including Monday, Memorial day. Farm fresh eggs, organically grown plant starts, wool pellets and goat milk soap.

So excited to be part of this! We will be at Fiber Fusion on Saturday, June 6th, 2026. I will have lots of our beautiful yarn, roving, natural dye kits, and dye plants. This is going to be fun!

Hauled the sheep to their other grazing site starting on Mother's day (never a day without work around here) finished with 3 more loads yesterday. I wish loading went as easy as unloading 😁 lots of good grass here. Ewes and lambs are happy!

Yesterday was shearing day for the sheep. The weather....hmmm. not to hot, but the wind, well that's another story
33mph is not really ideal, but the work had to get done.

My shearers count was 62, my sheep math must be way off 🤣🤣 I thought I counted 52 or a few more give or take.
So thankful that chore is done for the year!

The 2 shearers kept me busy at the wool receiving end, so not very many photos this time around.
