Broiler chickens are harvested. We had a significant loss on chickens this year. As a result, there are only 35 available. Many of you have asked to be able to purchase several, but it will be on a first come, first serve basis. Limit 5. They will be available starting today in the farm store and at both the Ellensburg Farmers Market this Saturday and West Seattle Farmers Market on Sunday. I would anticipate that they will be gone quick, so don’t wait.

Custom Lamb Shares

Hi all, we will be offering custom lamb by the half and whole first this season, cut to your specifications. Chops, roasts and ground are typical. A whole lamb fills about a grocery bag, so not a lot of freezer space is needed.

Lamb is $12/lb on the hot hanging weight (typically 30-50 lbs). Harvest dates for this will be 11/6 and 12/4. There are a total of 6 lambs available.

$200 deposit is due at the time of sign up or when you receive your invoice for deposit. Cut and wrap fee is $205 whole lamb, $110 half lamb. Harvest fee is $60. Typically total cost is about $500/half lamb.

I know lots of folks are concerned about current beef quality from the grocery store these days. Customers have been buying up my ground beef quickly at market, so we did some fresh ground beef this week and have it ready to go. Come into the store and pick some up today!

Head into the farm store this week for our popular Thai curry sausage, Santa Fe with Green Chili sausage and our great Louisiana Hot Links.
