Farmer Sherril has been a fan of peonies ever since she was a little girl. The path to her grandmother’s house was lined with dozens of plants that would start to bloom once warmed by the Iowa sun. Now she helps her daughter tend them on the farm in Central Washington.

When properly cared for, peonies can live to be over 100 years old, so these ones could outlive us all. They are still as beautiful as ever and they are perfect for picking this weekend.

The U-pick is open now for the summer. 3151 Brick Mill Rd in Ellensburg, Wa. Open everyday from dawn to dusk.

It’s been too long since we’ve had anyone out in the fields, but there is finally enough color. Come on out for opening day on Sunday, April 19th! We’ve got tulips and daffodils galore. The only thing we need is come to cut them. 💐

The u-pick field is open during daylight hours. We are located at 3151 Brick Mill Rd in Ellensburg, Wa. We supply the cup and everything you need to pick. Cash and venmo accepted. Please note that we do not currently have a porta potty available.

Join us tomorrow for a cozy wreath-making workshop at The Ridge in downtown Ellensburg, where you'll create a one-of-a-kind wreath using materials like holly, cinnamon sticks, dried fruit, and of course dried flowers from our farm. You will learn how to make bows the way professional florists do it. It’s the perfect way to add a personal touch to your holiday decor (or give a meaningful, handmade gift!).

With the cold weather Sunday night, it took out most of the summer flowers. This means the end of the 2025 season.

Thank you to everyone who came out to the farm this summer. We’ll be back in spring!

We get it. Our produce looks as delicious as our flowers do beautiful. But please, please, please do not just take single bites out of our goods and leave a mess like some sort of wild animal! Listen, maybe we should have sample tables like Costco and that’s on us- but if you had just asked, we absolutely would’ve given you a tomato free of charge. But no, you had to go about it your own way. We are a lot of things here at Floyd Farm (hardworking, generous, exceptionally good-looking, humble etc) but the one thing we are not is afraid to shame hooligans on social media. If you recognize this farm stand bandit, we want names.
