for fostering Great Pyrenees inquire if looking to adopt! Hamilton Hollar Farm and Sanctuary is set up in Southwest Virginia between Blacksburg and Roanoke, VA. The property is 140 acres set under a conservation easement via VA Outdoors. It is nestled in the Appalachian Mountains (30mins from the AT) and home to a number of species (flora and fauna) some endangered or rare. Th

e farm is home currently to Nigerian Dwarf goats, chickens, some farm cats, and several dogs (4 are my personal dogs) and dedicated to fostering and rescuing Great Pyrenees. Though new to this endeavor and inspired to start with the events from Hurricane Helene in Western NC, I am working as a foster for the Great Pyrenees Rescue of Western NC currently to help place these majestic dogs into the right home or working farm. Because this breed has a tendency to guard and wander sometimes they get themselves into precarious situations when they get picked up by animal control the have tendency to put these dogs down first as they can be hard to adopt out. So, I've stepped up to start fostering a couple dogs at a time to help.
