This past weekend we did our first ever rolling double for St. Louis BBQ Society man what an experience it was it was a bucket list item I wanted to do for the past couple years. Wouldn’t be a bbq comp unless we got wet we definitely did in pacific during turn ins this is how we did.

Smithton IL:

Chicken: 4th!! Springer Mountain Farms
Ribs: 19th
Pork: 21st
Brisket: 17th

Overall: 20th

Pacific:

Chicken: 13th
Ribs: 1st!! Compart Family Farms our first ever pro 1st place call!
Pork: 17th
Brisket: 14th

Overall: 13th we’re getting closer to that top 10 overall!

In Smithton huge congratulations to our good buddy’s Rock Star BBQ for their RGC and Burnt Crow for a monster GC

In pacific congratulation to our two buddies Take It Easy BBQfor RGC and OnlyCans Competition BBQ for a GC!

Overall combined it was High on the Hog Barbeque RGC and GC

What a great time this weekend with everyone and congratulations to everyone who heard there names! It was a fun experience and we would definitely do it again! Couldn’t have done it without also thank you to everyone that let my daughter make some boxes for you I truly appreciate that a lot!

We are ready for the season! Thank you Randy Academy Sports + Outdoors in St. Peter’s Mo for always going above and beyond for us getting us that B&B Charcoal for our comp season best charcoal out there! It’s comp week this is our first time doing a rolling double! Going to be tough with the heavy hitters there twice this weekend but going to be fun checking this off our bucket list! Still lots of work to do before Friday!

Late post but last weekend we competed at the Korte Meat Processing rib burn the morning was a little rough with cold, wind, and rain but turned out to be a nice day. My dad and I decided to split up and compete against each other I never cook the ribs it’s always fun competing against each other. Huge thanks to my buddy Bill Pracht for letting me ride down with him and hauling stuff. Well this is how we did

(Me) Sweet Pickle:

Rib A- 28th
Rib B- 34th

Overall- 35th

Bumpy Pickle:

Rib A- 11th!!!!!
Rib B- 32nd

Overall- 24th

I’m pretty happy for my dad to get 11th in almost 50 teams pretty exciting for how stacked it was there it was a great time! Well we are off till May 29th-31st! Well we are back from Camp Q for SLBS Frank Schmer does an amazing job putting this on. If it wasn’t for everyone in the bbq community we wouldn’t have been able to attend this one thank you for everyone helping us out so we could attend since my dad couldn’t bring the trailer up. It was a very fun and an extremely tough competition with this stack field and wet. This is how we did!

Chicken- 9th!!!! Springer Mountain Farms
Ribs- 24th
Pork- 19th
Brisket- 2nd!!! Snake River Farms

Overall- 13th!

This was the first time we have ever gotten two calls at a pro comp! We are truly blessed by the results we had we are off till May 2nd for korte meats rib burn! Again thank you everyone for everything you did to help us out this weekend! And thanks to our sponsors couldn’t have done it with out you! Thank you Jay with Korte Meat Processing on the beautiful meat!

We are back from one of our favorite comps smoke on the shore in TN what a good time we had especially my daughter went around and made kale boxes for people and she did pretty good money wise very proud of her. Had a good time seeing everyone and meeting new people of course hanging out with this is how we did

Friday:

53rd in chicken
21st ribs!

Saturday:

15th in chicken!!!!!
30th ribs
21st in pork!!

18th overall!!! Out of a very stacked field

My daughter did the desert fried chicken cake pop she got 45th I’m very proud of her!

Even though we didn’t walk away with any records this time I’m very excited with my chicken. We had a good time with everyone there. We will definitely be back next year! We’re off till April 3rd for Camp Q for SLBS thanks to our wonderful sponsors and people that help us get these results we’re excited about!

Well we are back from a true freeze Q this competition always has a great set up here. Unfortunately my dad wasn’t able to do it with me so my buddy Bill helped me by hauling everything in his trailer and he rented a cabin which I thank him every moment yesterday when it was -4 and drove the boxes to turn in since it was far away and cold. Thank you buddy for everything!

This is an St. Louis BBQ Society pro comp and when I said it was a stack house it was a true stack house with the best of the best here! Frank Schmer always does a great job putting this comp on! We will see him and everyone back in April! This is how we did!

Bill did a flank steak ancillary he didn’t finish top 10 I don’t know where he fell but it was really good

Chicken- 26th
Ribs- 20th Prairie Fresh
Pork- 16th!!! Compart Family Farms
Brisket- 2nd place!!!!!!!!!! Snake River Farms Korte Meat Processing!

Overall- 21st!

When they said bumpy pickle 2nd in brisket to hear the whole room cheer for you is truly a blessing and emotional! Huge shout out to Take It Easy BBQ for his bbq class we did two weeks prior and his knowledge helped get that call! Still have a lot of practice to do but we’ll get there! This is needed for every bbq competition team look how much room I have still loaded with 4 collars, 4 racks of ribs, and one brisket!!! And I have a dryer side to store stuff!
