👀💜 Two versions of our Monster Mash Cookies!

⬅️ GF/AGS: Light purple cookie with allergen-friendly chocolate chips, gluten-free oats, and natural peanut butter. This was a speedy test bake, so his grin is a little messy...but he has character! 😂
$2.25 each | 6 for $12.50

➡️ Regular: My usual peanut butter oatmeal monster cookie, dressed up with purple dough, chocolate chips, brown and orange M&Ms, sprinkles, and candy eyes.
$1.75 each | 6 for $9 BYOB (Build Your Own Box)

I was hoping for a deeper purple. The peanut butter and brown sugar give the dough a warm tan color, which softens the purple into a more muted shade than I pictured. They’re still ready for a little Halloween mischief! 🎃

Halloween treats are coming to Farris Family Farm! I’m excited to get baking for the last 3 weekends of October! 👻

We’ll be open Friday through Sunday, 10 AM–8 PM, on:

💜 October 23–25
💚 October 30–November 1

Preorders close Wednesday at 6 PM for each weekend. When you order, please tell me which weekend you’d like to pick up!

My usual peanut butter oatmeal monster cookies, dressed up for Halloween with purple dough, brown and orange M&Ms, chocolate chips, and candy eyes.

🎃👻 A little Halloween sneak peek! 👻🎃

I’m taking a little breather this week, but I’m starting to plan ahead for Halloween! Here are the spooky treats I’m dreaming up so far: Mummy Brownies, Graveyard Dirt Mini Cakes, Witch’s Brew Mini Cakes, Reese’s Peanut Butter Spider Cookies, and Gooey Butter Eyeball Cookies.

The Monster Mash Cookies are my usual oatmeal peanut butter Monster Cookies, with chocolate chips and candy pieces—just dressed up with purple dough, Halloween confetti, and candy eyeballs. 🍪

I’m hoping to keep the same lineup for the last three weekends of October. Repeating the menu will help me streamline baking while I balance the bakery, farm, and homeschooling...and give everyone a few chances to stop by for their favorites.

I may add something as I get closer, but this is the plan so far. Which treat catches your eye? 🕸️

🤎 A Little Time to Catch Up

I’m taking a break from the regular baking schedule this coming weekend, October 9–11. I need a little time to catch up around here.

Bread preorders I’ve already accepted will still be made as planned. I’m not sure yet if I’ll have anything else at the stand. If I do, I’ll post what’s available.

🐣 Graduation day at Farris Family Farm! 💛

Today we wrapped up our Egg to Chick Learning Series with a little celebration! The kids decorated their “Peep Packs” (paper take-home bags turned into cute chickens) and enjoyed a mini egg hunt. 🥚🎉

Then came the big moment: chick adoption! Each participant received a certificate of completion, an adoption certificate for their new chicks, and a take-home care guide to help their families get started.

From candling eggs and watching them develop to learning about chick care, we’ve shared so many discoveries together. Getting to send these little learners home with their new feathered friends was such a sweet way to finish! 🐥

We all need a little help sometimes. 🐣💛

This little chick was trying to hatch from the wrong end of its egg, away from the air cell. We made a small hole in the shell to give it a helping hand, and we’re cheering it on as it works on its big entrance into the world! 🥚🐥

Watching these tiny babies is such a sweet reminder that we all need a little kindness, patience, and support sometimes. 💛

🍪🐣 Cookies, Cakes, & Chicks...Oh my!

I may have gone a little overboard with how much I baked, and rainy Friday didn’t help. 😂 We still have plenty of cookies and cakes at the stand today, so come help me avoid carrying them all back inside tonight!

And check it out! A couple chicks have started hatching, so if the timing works out, you might catch a glimpse of a chick hatching while you’re here. 🐥
