A Little About Us
Future Greens is a new sustainable micro green and herb farm located on 40 acres in Central IL. We have a 1,200 sq ft climate controlled greenhouse operated primarily with solar power. We are beyond organic and consider ourselves "Veganic". We steadily produce 10 -15 varieties of micro greens including pea shoots, red amaranth, broccoli, arugula radish, kale, cabbage, and wasabi to name a few. We also grow 3 varieties of basil and a couple of types of mint. We intend to offer more as we grow our farm. We currently market through direct sales to restaurants, health clubs, farmers market , some retail and dining institutions. Our number one focus is on the amazing health benefits of the products we produce! According to numerous studies done by the USDA and others micro greens are considered "Super Foods" containing from 5-50 times more nutrition than their adult counterparts! Sweet peas for example contain a surprising 7 times the Vitamin C of blueberries and 8 times the folic acid of bean sprouts. We aim to grow the cleanest micro greens and hope you will get the chance to try them!
