NOMINATIONS OPEN: Help us celebrate Minnesotaβs incredible farmers' markets!
At the Land Stewardship Project, we know that the future of farming includes building regional food systems that connect farmers directly with consumers. That is why we are proud to partner with the Minnesota Farmers' Market Association (MFMA) for this year's National Farmers' Market Week (August 2β8, 2026)!
By supporting these spaces, we promote fair market access and fair prices for small and mid-sized farmers while reducing corporate control in our ag economy.Farmers' markets do so much more than provide fresh, local food. They are powerful economic engines, vital spaces for food access, and places where neighbors connect.
To celebrate, MFMA is selecting one standout market from each of Minnesotaβs nine regions to receive a $200 stipend, a celebration toolkit, promotional items, and special recognition during National Farmers' Market Week.
Whether you are a shopper or a vendor, we encourage you to nominate your favorite local marketβall sizes and locations are welcome to apply. Let's lift up the markets expanding our regional food options!
