I’ve been working on something a little different behind the scenes, and I’m SO excited to finally finish them and share them with all of you …
Cherie’s Cozy Coops: The Silkie Coloring Books are officially here! 🎉📕
Being an unemployed/retired chicken mom means there have definitely been times when things have been hard financially and I’v felt like I couldn’t keep things going around here. Bird and hatching egg sales can be great in certain seasons and almost nonexistent during the others. Sometimes the hens aren’t laying, chicks aren’t available, or I simply don’t have birds I’m ready to offer.
Unfortunately, the feed bill doesn’t stop just because the sales do. And everyone knows the price of feed has risen beyond my own grocery bill.🫣😂
I knew I needed to find other ways to help fill that financial gap during the slower times so I could keep going , but I wanted it to be something that still felt connected to me, my birds, and Cherie’s Cozy Coops.
So somehow after brainstorming a while this summer through all my tribulations… the idea turned into 2 coloring books. Something that anybody could enjoy. Even my friends and family who want to support me but can’t or don’t have chickens. 🩷
These books give me another way to support my little farm when birds and eggs aren’t available. So I can continue to work toward my breeding goals, improve my birds, attend more shows, and see where this crazy chicken journey I’ve become obsessed with takes me. 🥹🩷
So please understand that if you decide to purchase a copy, you’re supporting more than just a coloring book. You’re supporting me, my birds, my little farm, and my journey as a breeder. And that truly means so much to me.
