Founded on the snowy banks of the Manistee River, during an annual New Years Day canoe trip, the idea of a hops farm was established in 2015. A years worth of work and planning, culminated in a 2016 summer planting of two varieties of hops on a 1 acre parcel, Magnum and Liberty. In choosing the name, which was no easy task, we decided on something that represented ourselves and our community. The

name of our farm is a collaboration of both Polish and German, in short the name stands for "Fresh (Hozy) High (Hoch) Hops".
