As the farm schedule continues to change and take a shape that is tuned to higher volumes, we find ourselves in need of a more “permanent” employee. This is not glorious work. The urban farm is 90% clean stuff and 10% grow stuff. Maybe 95%/5%.
The ideal candidate for this job is a college grad in need of internship accreditation, a high school student or a recent graduate looking for extra summer work, or even a retiree. (My dad would do it I’m sure, but he has a bad shoulder and I need a strong arm😇). The candidate is best suited to 9am mornings with potential to be done for day anytime between 12-2 on any given day.
It is still too hard to tell if this will require part time or full time hours, because once things are done for the week, they are just done… and the schedule does “change” based on orders. The job pays $15 an hour unless you prove you are worth more. My eyes are always watching, work hard and be compensated 🙏
