If you're like us, you're one of those fun-loving Texas Foodies living the Lone Star life. Our faith, sense of family, friendship and phenomenal food are such a blessing. It's why we love to host family events at Hummingbird Hollow located near Palestine Texas, All Things Tyler and All Things Athens, Tx that bring our communities closer together. On Sunday October 18th, 2026 we'll be hosting the 1st annual Texas Cakefest at our gorgeous 32 acre celebration ranch. Admission is free. All you need to enter is for every person 4 years old and above to bring a decorated cake, pie or crumble. Then everyone gets to select up to 7 slices to enjoy and share while chilling on our magnificent lawns and gardens. Come feast and celebrate the magic of cake with East Texas Foodies, Texas Foodie Dallas Cowboys True Fans, DFW Foodies and Houston Foodies at the home of Texas Luxury Weddings and Texas Foodie Adventures. Concessions with family friendly pricing will be available. This is an Alcohol Free event. Blankets, folding chairs, coolers and lawn games welcome . Even at Hummingbird Hollow and Texas Foodie Adventures near Palestine Texas, Downtown Tyler, Texas and All Things East Texas, we love finding new local restaurants to go out for dinner. Sometimes it's fine dining other times it's worthy of Diners, Drive-ins and Dives This past weekend we enjoyed a delicious Asian feast at LAKU Hibachi and Sushi, Frankston, TX . This casual restaurant featured very comfortable booths and excellent service. Dinner was awesome and Chef Arthur brings an impressive culinary resume to East Texas. His flavor palette was outstanding and East Texas Foodies will love his portion size, excellent value and great luncheon specials. Take out or dine-in, this local gem is conveniently located by the corner of 155 and 175 near downtown Frankston.
