The turkeys were up early this morning and have been delivered to the processor!

For those who reserved a turkey:

{Update: Estimated ETA is 7pm tonight. They will be available for pickup 7-8pm tonight or tomorrow 8am-6pm}

They will be available for pickup tomorrow (WEDNESDAY) 8am to 6pm. However, they may arrive back to the orchard in time for pickup later this afternoon. I will update this post as soon as they arrive.

Roasted Delicata Squash: Step by Step

Did you know that delicata squash has a thin, edible skin? Follow this recipe for a crispy, flavorful side dish.

Step 1: Wash and dry squash
Step 2: Cut in half lengthwise
Step 3: Scoop out seeds
Step 4: Cut into thin slices
Step 5: Coat slices in oil and season to taste
Step 6: Roast at 425 for 20 minutes. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese if desired.

Prefer to not eat the skin? Prep squash through step #3 and then rub in oil, and roast at 425 for 30-40 minutes or until tender. Scoop out the sweet, smooth flesh and enjoy.
