The last wether we sold! He was one of my favorites we had raised and honestly had a hard time getting him sold, between getting sick at weaning and the hot summer months it was hard to get him looking his best. Both these pigs brought less than $500 at the sale, proof you don’t always have to spend big bucks to win! Thanks to chopper and Erica for putting this sale on for the South Texas breeders.

A huge thanks to everyone that believed in our stock this past year! We had a blast working closely with all of our showman and hope for an even better 2027. We have finished breeding for the summer and hope to have 25-30 litters to offer this fall. As always, if you have any questions or need anything feel free to give us a shout!

A huge congratulations to Wyatt! It’s an amazing feeling getting to see all of his hard work and efforts come to fruition. When he got this barrow bought online I couldn’t be more excited that he would get to stay close to us, it was a lot of fun feeding this one! This show is no pumpkin roller and it has long eluded us, to get to finally win it means a lot to us personally and marks a big feather in our hat. This barrow represents the 3rd generation of this sow line born in Elsa, it’s very exciting to see more and more females born here entering the sow herd. We are charging forward as fast as we can and can’t wait to see what the future holds!

We will make a post later this week with complete results from RGVLS AND HLSR, we just couldn’t wait to get this photo up!

THE END OF AN ERA!

It’s with great excitement I share the goat herd has been sold to Vallen Cuéllar of VC Show Goats. It’s been a very long journey in the goat business and we’re very sad to see them go, but with the pig side of things taking off we knew it was time to make a choice. We’ve made a lifetime of memories and had more fun than we ever imagined! This marks the end of 18 years worth of goats in Elsa. It was never an easy business, full of highs and lots lows but I wouldn’t have traded it for anything. Thank you to everyone for your business and support over all the years, the relationships we’ve made in this business are what kept us going all these years.

We wish the best of luck to Val and his family on the expansion of their goat herd!

Headed north with a pair I’m very excited about! Two 25 litter males, their mates and full sibs were our most popular pigs in this set and these two have been hid out in the back of the barn for players for a while. Sow is a first litter gilt out of a Lindner sow we purchased at Texas Elite who was a mate to the Reserve Dark and the foundation female in 2023

The July’s have us fired up in South Texas. Some of my favorite pigs we’ve ever raised are in this set. We’ve been very aggressive getting gilts bred quickly to try and upgrade the sow herd, while it’s not always fun in the farrowing house, it has increased the quality of our stock rapidly. This set is a testament to our hard work. Over the years the July set has always seemed to be our most successful, I’m betting the same will be true this year.

I invite everyone to join us in person to preview them, most of these are better than my picture skills may suggest.
