Hier Ground Hier Ground offers farm fresh seasonal produce, eggs, and homemade jams sourced directly from our farmstead.

We also offer custom handmade home decor items and furniture upon order. Contact us directly for more information on custom orders. Hier Ground was started by Michelle Hier, a woman from Elsie, Michigan. With the help of her youngest daughter, Alexis, they make their small business dream a reality. Together, they design new items to sell, manage the farmstead and animals, and manage all other aspe

cts of the business. In 2016, they started making their first crafts for the business around working other jobs. They officially launched their business and website in 2017 and have kept going ever since. By pairing with local shops, such as Perx and Pastires in Elsie Michigan, attending local craft and vendor shows, attending local farmer's markets, and pairing with other local farms they share their pieces and story with others around them. They hope to open a physical store front in 2021 to display and sell their items, in addition to the existing farm stand where they sell fresh produce and other farm products. They also hand craft small to large home decor items with each customer in mind. From the smallest decor item to large furniture pieces, they make just about anything you can dream! They have a wide variety of designs, colors, and styles available. If you don't see exactly what you are looking for, ask our artists for more information about a custom piece!

So I made a double chocolate zucchini cake 🍰 (4 layers!), but then they were so decadent that they stuck in the pans. 😱 Cake pops it is then! 😁I whipped up a homemade peanut 🥜 butter frosting to mix them with (and to dip them tomorrow) so they will be like a Reese’s cake pop. Final pics tomorrow! If these turn out they way I’m imagining them, they will soon be a new item available on the farmstand. 🤞

Don’t judge my cake pops too harshly- it’s my first attempt at making them. These are my “taster bits” and provided all goes well, I will get much more consistent sizing and shaping.

I have been meaning to post this for a while now but, well life gets in the way sometimes and I get busy and forget. 🤪🙃 We found this snakeskin shed on our farm and thought it was a great science homeschool lesson. That was months ago! I rediscovered it a couple weeks ago and showed my grandson… who quickly recited everything we talked about that day. It’s nice to know that the lessons “stick”! ☺️
