Wasn't expecting to capture a swarm today, but the bees were a swarmin! The last one was 30ft up in a tree so it was nice to just put my box under them, cut the branch and lower the swarm into the new hive! Finally got a swarm in the ! Her name is Scarlet

It's good to find friends. My prepmaking friend Martha over at is beaming with pride at her freshly made Horn Silica! Hanging out buried in the earth for summer, we will dig up the horns, empty the quartz powder and stir it into water; then spray it as a fine mist that falls onto the crops at dawn... why? To bring more light to the plants, to enhance the flavor and taste and storage capacity and overall vitality of the plants through enhanced photosynthesis, light and warmth.
