Amazing Acres Goat Dairy

Amazing Acres Goat Dairy Fresh and fresh-aged artisan goat cheese Our goats are fed on pasture, grain and hay. They get plenty of daily exercise, fresh air, love, brushings and treats.

Amazing Acres Goat Dairy, located in northern Chester County, Pennsylvania, creates fresh and fresh-aged artisan goat cheeses inspired by classic French styles. We allow the kids to remain with their mothers for at least three months. Though this reduces our supply of milk for cheese making, we believe that this practice produces healthier kids and happier mothers and reduces stress on both. Our g

oats receive no hormones, steroids, antibiotics or any drugs unless medically necessary. We consider our girls (and boys) to be part of the staff and family of Amazing Acres and we treat them as such.

It’s Cute Goat Wednesday! 🐐 Here’s a mini roll call of some of the lovely ladies of Amazing Acres. I may have done Helen a little dirty with my photo choice... but let’s be honest, she still manages to look beautiful even with her mouth full.

It’s Cute Goat Wednesday! Reintroducing the ever so handsome brothers Higgins and Horton! When someone says, “Smile for the camera, boys,”
there are apparently two perfectly acceptable responses.

It’s Cute Goat Wednesday! This is Jasper. Mr. Jasper has mastered the art of making soulful eye contact while eating. It’s truly a lost art—not everyone can pull it off.

It’s Cute Goat Wednesday! I dropped my phone in the hay feeder while trying to get some footage and decided to just let it run to see what things look like from another vantage point. Not quite as exciting as I had hoped but after I fished it out, I saw the goats had somehow made a phone call. For reals!

It’s Cute Goat Wednesday! The way Horton and friends devour their hay makes me wonder if I’m missing out on something delicious. I’ll have to try it one day. I’ll report back when I do.

It’s Cute Goat Wednesday! It appears nose scritches are as in demand as animal crackers. Or perhaps almost as in demand. The animal cracker line wouldn’t be quite as orderly.

It’s Cute Goat Wednesday! Folks often ask if goats are smart. They certainly are. Some time between last night’s evening meal and this morning’s breakfast, one of these geniuses figured out how to open the gate of the upper pasture (the bachelor pad). I came out this morning to this sight - Babou, Corky and Cyclone just wandering around freely. What should I do? Reprimand them for being naughty or reward them for not running off completely? I’ll go with the group consensus.

It’s Cute Goat Wednesday! This is Jennifer. Jennifer is pleased with this evening’s hay offering. Thank goodness! Another rebellion narrowly avoided!

It’s Cute Goat Wednesday! The wonderful thing about goats is they don’t care if your hair is a mess and your clothes in tatters, they’ll love you just the way you are. Thanks Linus and Lorenzo for making a girl feel special. 💕
