Buy local and support your small family producers and not corrupt and greedy corporations. Know exactly where and how the protein you put on your family's dinner table was produced. We are also in the end overall cheaper per lb. We are just trying to make a living. Corporations are doing all they can to make billions and couldn't care less if safe and quality protein is on your family's dinner table.

I learned a hard lesson today.

One of my best cows had a backwards calf, and I didn’t catch it in time. We lost the calf, and that’s on me. That’s a tough one to carry.

On top of that, this weekend another momma cow kicked the snot out of my hand—still swollen, bruised, and scraped.

It’s been a rough couple of days to say the least 😢

Farming isn’t always the pretty pictures you see. Sometimes it’s mistakes, pain, and lessons you wish you didn’t have to learn. But you get back up, take better care, and keep going.

Hello 👋🏼 👋🏼 many of you aren't aware of of our small family farm located in your backyard so I wanted to introduce you to Shaw Family Farm

I (Micaela) was raised on a cow-calf operation in Madison County just north of Frankton. You can also visit my family's page at Walls Cattle Farms. I have a B.S. in Animal Science from Purdue University.

Shaw Family Farm is a small local family farm that was established in 2021 in northern Madison County (situated conveniently between Frankton, Elwood, and Alexandria). We started this as a way to provide our community with high-quality freezer beef and freezer pork. It is our goal to produce healthy, nutrient-dense food for you and your family to enjoy.

We have many opportunities throughout the year for you to secure your freezer beef (quarters, halves, wholes), freezer pork (halves, wholes).

If you are interested in our farm fresh products, a $200 deposit is required to secure a freezer beef and $100 for pork. For complete information, send us a private message, email, or contact us via text or a phone call.
