Ok, we did a good chunk of distro for Flaming Longship and Nordland over the last couple weeks (list below), as well as canning off a brand new beer called LIL HESTY. As you might guess, this is a session (lower abv, lighter, etc) version of Åttebeint Hest! This beer is for fans of pine trees, earth, and grass. The plan is to start distribution of this next week. We will also distro to St. Cloud and Duluth with all three beers soon.

Good Morning! We have a few things for you today.

First of all, we just started distribution of Nordland and Flaming Longship! Nordland was the first beer we made out of Ely a couple years ago, it was fun to make it again! As usual, will post drop locations after distribution is mostly complete.

Second, we got some new t-shirts in, reprints of the Leif's Lager design and also the "Ely Door" design with just the front print. Check if out if you have been looking for a size we were out of stock in!

Third, a couple weeks ago Untappd posted their community awards the same as they did last year, and we ended up with a few! We never seek awards, its not our thing, but when the people that drink the beer (you) rate and review it (and like it?), we think that is pretty cool. Notable national level awards were Silver in "Wheat Beer - Dunkelweizen" for Dunkelwald and Bronze for "Smoked Stout" with Sköll och Hati. For Minnesota, Golds for Black IPA with Ochre and Ash, Smoked Beer with Tungtvann, Lager-Other with Druid Pines, and a few others. Thank you to everyone that came out to the collab release at Bauhaus a couple weeks ago, we very much enjoyed seeing everyone. These last few weeks we completed most of our distribution of our Sahti Löyly and another batch of Weltenwanderer Smoked Helles. Last week we also did our every 3- 6 month drop to Moorhead with current releases and a few from the past months, as well as St. Cloud and Baxter. Next week will also see some beer getting down to Northfield and Rochester in cans. We also dropped fresh kegs off at Reverie, Dreamstate, Chatterbox in Minneapolis and Insula in Ely. We have a few things to share with you all.

First of all, this coming Sunday from 1-5pm we will be joining Bauhaus in their taproom to release a collaboration that we brewed with them at their place back in December. Both of us will be in attendance and we would love to see some friendly faces, its been a month...more information on this below.

Second, we have started distribution of our Sahti, Löyly, and have brewed another batch of our Helles Lager, Weltenwanderer. We should get around to almost everywhere this week, and then do further away markets. We are going to try and get everywhere on this one. Will post in a few days as we get stuff delivered.

Lastly, we put a beer in barrels for the first time since being in Ely. Can you take a guess what it is?

From Bauhaus re the Event on Sunday:

We are beyond thrilled to announce the release of GRÅOR: A Nordic Porter brewed in collaboration with our dear friends at .
GRÅOR, coming in at 8.8% ABV and 28 IBU, is a subtly smokey porter showcasing notes of chocolate, caramel, and roasted barley which we’ve infused with a Haus-made tincture of juniper, peppercorn, birchwood, cardamom, and rosemary. Brewed with alderwood-smoked malt, GRÅOR is a warming ode to the Northwoods and a perfect pairing for dark winter days.
GRÅOR is rolling out to liquor stores in limited quantities this week and will be available in our taproom starting Friday. But that’s not all!
This Sunday, February 8th, we’ll be hosting a launch party at our taproom from 1pm-5pm. The Hammerheart crew will be in-house and we’re curating a diverse but oh-so-heavy playlist for the day. GRÅOR will be available in pints and in to-go 4-packs. A portion of the day’s proceeds will be donated to in support of their ongoing efforts to keep our neighbors and communities safe.

This week we distributed Høst Øl and Weltenwanderer! Høst Øl if you might remember was a beer we did annually back in Lino Lakes, rustic smoke, malty, balanced, and goes great with food! Weltenwanderer is our crushable smoked helles, a favorite of ours and a nod to beers that inspire us. Below is where it ended up! We didn't quite get everywhere, Duluth, St. Cloud, Moorhead, will have to wait till after the new year.

Today we are in Denver at Decibel’s Metal and Beer fest pouring alongside a bunch of other breweries! Last week we did get Sköll och Hati and Dublin Raid delivered to Duluth and St. Cloud, locations below! When we return, we will immediately can two more and hope to distribute as much as we can before the holiday season, stay tuned!
