BUCKHANNON, WV: Officials from the City of Buckhannon, the Upshur County Commission, and the Upshur County Department of Homeland Security & Emergency Management advise residents that all online‑ordered donations intended for flood‑relief support can be shipped to: Buckhannon Fire Department, 22 S. Florida St., Buckhannon, WV 26201

This option is available for orders placed through major online retailers such as Amazon, Walmart, Target, Sam’s Club, Home Depot, and other online vendors. The wish list includes extension cords, kousehold fans, air mattresses, toilet paper, paper towels, non‑perishable food items, Gatorade, bottled water, paper plates, plastic silverware, regular‑size trash bags, mops, brooms, shovels, clorox (liquid disinfectant)

Shipping donations directly to the Fire Department ensures rapid intake, sorting, and distribution to residents impacted by recent flooding.

Local in-person donations are still being accepted at the Auxiliary Gymnasium at West Virginia Wesleyan from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Those in need of supplies can also visit the Auxiliary Gymnasium during these hours.

This donation option is provided through the partnership of:

City of Buckhannon
Upshur County Commission
Upshur County Department of Homeland Security & Emergency Management

These agencies extend their sincere appreciation for the community’s continued generosity and support during ongoing recovery efforts.

For coordination, residents may contact the Upshur County Office of Emergency Management at 304‑472‑4983.

Centralized intake remains essential to ensuring resources are received, tracked, and distributed efficiently as recovery operations continue.
