As many of you already know, we have a plethora of barn swallows that make nests on our big porch and have their babies and eat tons of bugs each spring. Then leave to go south and return with their babies next year to do it all over again. I think we are up to 8 or 9 nests now! Anyway, these 2 had apparently gotten their legs wrapped together in part of the nest material right after hatching. When we found them this morning, one hanging out of the nest by its leg, they had both the tangled legs wrapped so tightly for so long that one’s foot is completely detached now and the other is non-useable. So they are now apart but have only one good leg each! What do we do with them now? There are no wildlife rehabilitation centers near us. 🥺

Well…We aren’t exactly sure how it happened, but here we are.

20 years Married 🤍

It’s amazing how it feels like it has ONLY been 20 years and yet it also feels like, has it been 20 years ALREADY?!

It’s also a bit crazy to think that we have been CT Ranch for almost the entire time! Almost 17 years now 😳

What a crazy, interesting, wonderful, maddening, awe-inspiring, frustrating, beautiful and amazing journey we have been on.
