Farm stand and U-Pick flowers are open all weekend. Come see the sheep, snag some produce, w**d some carrots or pick some flowers.

Ground rules:

-Don’t touch the electric fence or the sheep (please)
-Pay for what you take (photos always free)
-Be nice to our neighbors (and each other)
-Leave your pets at home (pretty please)
-Have fun! (more of a suggestion, but you do you)

Believe it or not gang, flower season is upon us!

We will have fabulous June blooms for every budget this Saturday and Sunday. You can find them in our farm stand, in Traverse City, or in Interlochen.

The last bottle of the day is the perfect time for some quiet contemplation, and a chance to reset before gearing up for tomorrow.

Thanks for all the well wishes everyone, I couldn’t get back to you all; but Chels and I really appreciate all your support (and watchful eyes on us)!

Thinking about what this silly little farm life means.

We aren’t ever going to be BigTime content producers. Chelsea and I just aren’t really built that way.

And that’s ok! But it means that a lot of our behind the scenes never really make it out into the world.

When you are 22 and want to farm, you have a very different expectation of what that (and the world at large) is going to be like at 35.

But between the crazy roosters, muddy oil changes, torrential downpours and breezy beach walks — Bluebird is still here.

Refreshed and ready for another year on the farm. Just a bit more grey and creaky (speaking for myself, Chelsea is ageless); and just the right combination of optimistic, realistic, and enthusiastic to keep our sanity in a world in flux.

We get up every day and get to make our dreams come true, how many are fortunate enough to say the same?
