Got Milk? Cinnamon, our Nubian, does and she shares it with everybody. Cheerio our barn kitty had a little sip and then Eloise came in and slurped up the rest. Milk is a miracle!!

After years of working through the permit process, we’re thrilled to share that the Encinitas City Council unanimously approved updates to our agricultural permit, bringing greater clarity to the educational farm experiences we’ve been offering our community for more than 20 years—including Goat Yoga, Farm Camp, private farm tours, llama experiences, and so much more. Some news we’ve been waiting a long time to share…

We’re so grateful that Goat Yoga is officially back at Sugar Sweet Farm.

This week, the San Diego Union-Tribune shared the story of our journey, and we’re incredibly thankful to everyone who supported our family and our little farm along the way.

To every person who attended meetings, wrote letters, cheered us on, and believed in what we’re building here—thank you. Your kindness and encouragement meant more than we can say.

Right now we’re soaking up every minute of Farm Camp with some amazing campers, but once camp wraps up in August, we’ll be excited to welcome our community back for Goat Yoga, Snuggle & Stroll, and all the peaceful farm experiences we’ve missed sharing with you.

Llama nap in the sunshine! Fancy and baby Casanova are a mother/son pair who are connected at the hip - as evidenced by their nap posture❤️.

As usual, I brought all my energy in and spoiled their afternoon slumber with a little help from my friends. (Honestly, anytime they’re lying down like this, I always wanna make sure there are some beating hearts out there.)

One of the most beloved teachers at Sugar Sweet Farm isn’t a person at all… she’s Eloise the pig!

There’s something magical about learning through hands-on experiences with animals.

At Sugar Sweet Farm Camp, kids ages 6–12 don’t just learn about animals—they build relationships with them. Every day is filled with animal encounters, farm adventures, outdoor play, and unforgettable moments that help children grow in confidence, compassion, and curiosity.

Some moments remind us that growing up doesn’t mean losing your sense of wonder. 

Our Counselors-in-Training gathered around a nest of 10-day-old baby bunnies this week, completely captivated by these tiny lives that haven’t even opened their eyes yet. For a moment, the future leaders in our program became little kids again—full of curiosity, gentleness, and awe.
That’s the magic of our CIT Leadership Program. Teens ages 13–16 develop leadership skills, confidence, responsibility, animal handling experience, and mentorship abilities while staying connected to the simple joys of nature and farm life.

If you have a teen who loves animals and is ready for a summer filled with purpose, growth, and unforgettable experiences, we’d love to meet them.
