Found in a family photo album. Saved for more than 70 years. ❤️

A customer recently shared this Stater Bros. receipt from September 20, 1954, discovered while sorting through old family photos.

What makes it extra special is that the receipt dates back to shortly after the customer's parents were married. Somehow, this small piece of paper survived the decades, tucked among cherished memories and family milestones.

It's a beautiful reminder that grocery stores are about more than groceries. They're part of everyday moments, family traditions, and stories that stay with us for generations.

🏢 Did you know?

Stater Bros.' Distribution Center complex was once the largest under-one-roof facility in America's supermarket industry.

Built for efficiency, the complex featured 45-foot rooflines and 40-foot ceilings, allowing product to be stacked up to 38 feet high for streamlined shipping and receiving operations.

The facility was designed to house a Dry Distribution Center, Refrigerated Distribution Center, Bakery Depot, Truck Maintenance Garage, and Dispatch Returns Building. Together with the corporate offices and support facilities, the campus totaled 2.3 million square feet, with additional space reserved for future expansion.

The new distribution complex also consolidated operations from eight Stater Bros. locations in Colton, Redlands, and Mira Loma.

For the past three years, our Alessandro store in Riverside has been part of her family’s daily routine. From the very first visit, our team made her feel welcome and at home.

One of the highlights of her shopping trips is seeing Johnnie at checkout. She is warm, attentive, and always ready with a smile. Simple questions like “How is your day,” “What is for dinner,” and “Nice to see you again,” turn a quick grocery stop into a meaningful moment.
