The Royal!

2 days and 12 turn ins against over 350 of the best bbq teams in the world! It was a fantastic experience to compete in both thr Invitational and the Open events this year.

The Invitational - Day 1: 158 teams. We had a bit of a rough cook on Saturday. It was a very unenthusiastic cook, and I just dropped the ball. Totally self inflicted, I just couldn't get out of my head and trust my processes, and our scores reflected it.

The Open - Day 2: 360 Teams. WE regrouped and I put on my big boy pants. Determined to prove we belonged there. It was a much smoother cook. Much more confident and enthusiastic about what we turned in. And once again, our scores reflected it.

We finished:

Chicken: 63rd 🐔
Ribs: 271st Struggle Bus! 🚌
Pork: 68th 🐖
Brisket: 81st 🐮

For 88th overall out of 360 teams! Inside the top 100 in a contes like this is huge! And we got a 15th place vegetable category call to walk the walk and grab a ribbon!

It was an amazing experience and a serious personal victory. Can't wait to do it again next year!

A huge thank you to our partnering sponsors who helped get us there!

Great weekend at the Camp Harkness Beachside Smoke Showdown! This was a second year Champions Barbecue Alliance event benefitting Camp Harkness and it's multiple mission supporting those with developmental disabilities. On day 1 we participated in a people's choice cookoff where guests purchased plates and visited cook teams to taste their offerings and vote on their favorite. After 185 plates were sold, we were lucky enough to earn enough votes with our Wagyu Brisket Mac & Cheeseto walk away as the People's Choice Champions!

Day 2 was a traditional CBA 4 meat contest as well as the final stop of the Steve Brown New England Triple Crown Chase. We had a very consistant cook and ended with:

6th place Chicken
9th place Ribs
8th place Pork
15 place Brisket

5th overall and Reserve Champion in thr Uncle Steve's Shake New England Triple Crown!

Congratulations to Katy Pasquale on your GC and American Barbecue Company on your RGC.

Huge congratulations to Chad and Nicole from Humphrey's BBQ on your Triple Crown GC, well deserved!

Thank you to our partnering sponsors for their amazing products and continued support!
