🚨 **LINCOLN, MA — WE NEED BUTTS IN SEATS AND FORKS IN HANDS!** 🚨

Apparently regular BBQ competitions weren’t stressful enough for **Chaddy Daddy**, so TONIGHT we’re sending him into a **LIVE Culinary Fight Club.** 😂🔥

And because questionable decisions are always better with friends, **Scotty Mac and Billy G** are jumping into the fire with him.

That’s right — **Chad Humphrey + Scotty Mac + Billy G** are teaming up for **Ocean to Plate** at The Tack Room in Lincoln, MA!

And here’s where **YOU** come in...

What a weekend in Maine at the Kora Kare For Kids event last weekend. After struggling the last couple of outings this summer, we felt we had a very solid cook and were very happy with 3 of our 4 turn-ins. With this contest being an Auto for next year's Jack and a qualifier for the2027 BBQ World Cup in Vegas, we felt we had a dog in the hunt. 51 teams from 17 states, including the likes of Chicken Fried BBQ, Darren Warth, and Brian Dwyer, not to mention the multiple World Champion teams from New England that we always have to wrestle with, we needed to be better than good. We also needed to get a little lucky! When the dust settled, we were extremely happy with the results.

We finished 3rd in Chicken, 15th in Pork Ribs, 23rd in Pork (we agreed) and 9th in Brisket for 4th Place overall!

The highlight if the entire awards ceremony was watching smoke.sisters.barbecue_ landing a huge RGC and punching their ticket to the BBQ World Cup. Starla unfortunately couldn't be there to cook with Sabrina, but Jayna from A Mazie Q stepped in and killed it!

Also a huge congratulations to our big buddy Luke from Old Virginia Smoke A Huge GC with 2 180's, a trip to Vegas and a return trip to The Jack! 🔥

Finally rested up from our annual New England Steak Championship and Connecticut BBQ Challenge weekend. We had a bit of rain on Saturday, but Michelle from Steak Cookoff Association always runs a tight ship. We had 32 Steak teams from across New England and even a few ballers from the Mid Atlantic make the trip.
Lindsay scored 9th in Steak A, and I hit 5th in Steak A and 2nd in Steak B.

Geoff Mullen knocked it out of the park this year with Sunday's KCBS contest. We had 36 hungry teams fighting for the Championship trophy and GC title. We had a solid cook, and ended with very consistent scores across all 4 meats. We finished:

18th Chicken - 🫣
8th ribs - 1st on table
12 pork - 1st on table
14th brisket - 2nd on table

11th place overall. Congratulations to our good friends Greg Boggs on GC and Smokin' Hoggz BBQ on RGC

Last weekend .macd87 and I went down to Bangor, Pennsylvania for a little Daddy / Daughter fun. We decided to go head to head in the inaugural Slate Belt Smoke Out put on by Rescue Fire Company 1.
This was a NEBS Classic 2 meat with a dessert ancillary and about 2" of rainfall to add to the drama...

The whole event was a win for me because I got another chance to cook with Starla. She turns 16 in a few short weeks, and who knows if she will keep honoring me with her willingness to spend her free time in the road and at BBQ contests.

Tale of the tape:

Starla: 1st place Chicken
6th place Ribs
4th place Dessert - 3rd place overall!

Dad: 3rd place Chicken
1st place Ribs
2nd place dessert - Grand Champion!

It was a great weekend, and I look forward to watching the Rescue Fire Company team grow this contest into one of the biggest and best in the Slate Belt region!

We had a great weekend in New Hampshire at the 7 Maples Showdown.

On Saturday competed in the Women of the Pit 2 meat, and ended up with Reserve Champion.

On Sunday we threw down against 27 other teams and came out with 6th Chicken, 7th Pork amd 5th Brisket for a 4th place overall finish while earming a spot in the 777 club. Congratulations to on a huge GC and on RGC.
