It’s been a while since you signed up, so, hello (?). Good news: the bees were good this year. Bad news: Hive management got in the way of updating my website and reaching out to you. 😔

Fall is my least and most favorite season for beekeeping. 😎The cooler weather means I won’t expire from heat stroke. 😦 Bad: there’s no food out so the bees are really hangry. Bonus: anytime I open this particular hive they have something weird happening. Today it was 12+ supercedure queen cells in various stages of sabotage. A new queen this late in the season is not great. But I did see her and hope she starts laying in time.

How much does a frame of honey weigh? Super frames weigh about 3lb, deep frames like what I run, about 6lb each.
