Heres some bad news good news from the farm.
The week before Fort Worth stock show, we had three bred two year old does be attacked by a dog. Before you ask, yes, we have livestock dogs. This was definitely not their fault.
Hattie took the brunt of the attack., Having a large chunk of her hind quarters taken out. In the beginning, she could not stand without help or bear any weight on her back leg.
As you can see now, she’s standing on her own coming to the feeder.
All three does are still pregnant and due the first week of March. We are hopeful that she will continue to hold these kids and be able to deliver in March.
I am thankful for my sweet husband who has helped me care for her, our vet who encouraged me that she would be fine and Danielle Boyd for being a listening ear.
