⚠️ SUNDAY HOURS ADVISORY – OCTOBER 11 ⚠️

With the heavy rain and potential flooding forecast for this Sunday, we want to give our customers a heads-up that Blue Mountain Deer Processing may operate with limited hours and/or close early on Sunday, October 11.

We do our best to accommodate hunters during archery season, including offering Sunday hours when possible. However, with the weather expected and the potential for reduced deer movement and harvests, we may adjust our hours accordingly.

If you plan to bring a deer in on Sunday, please check our page for updates before heading our way.

We appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we balance customer needs, staffing, and some much-needed time off for our crew!

🏹 2026 FALL ARCHERY PRICING — BLUE MOUNTAIN DEER PROCESSING 🦌

Archery season is here, and we’re sharing our 2026 Fall Archery pricing!

You’ll notice a few of our specialty products increased slightly this year, generally just 10–30¢ per pound. Like everyone else, we’re dealing with rising costs. Most of the ingredients we purchase have increased in price with some being as much 15% higher than Fall 2025, but we’ve worked hard to keep our increases as small as possible.

🌭 And if you haven’t tried our specialty products, you’re missing out!

Our Sweet Bologna and Snack Sticks are some of the products our customers rave about year after year. From our classic Sweet Bologna and Original Sticks to Pepper Jack, Cheddar, Spicy Garlic, BBQ, Ghost Pepper and more, there’s a lot to choose from.

We’re proud of the selection we’ve built over the years, and even more proud of how many hunters tell us our bologna and sticks are the reason they keep coming back.

Thank you to all of our returning hunters who trust us with their deer year after year, and welcome to everyone giving Blue Mountain a try for the first time.

🦌 IMPORTANT UPDATE: AFTER-HOURS DEER DROP-OFFS

As we head into Fall Archery, we want to clarify & emphasize a change to our after-hours drop-off policy.

We will still offer after-hours drop-offs on MOST hunting days, but they will no longer be guaranteed. Please CALL BEFORE YOU COME.

Over the years, Pennsylvania has continued to add hunting opportunities, extend seasons and expand Sunday hunting. That’s great for hunters, but from the processing side it also means a longer season with fewer days when our crew can truly shut things down and take a break.

During our busiest stretches, we already work some very long days processing deer. Add rising labor costs, staffing challenges, unpredictable evening drop-off volume and more hunting days to the calendar, and it simply isn’t practical for us to guarantee that someone will be here every evening after our regular hours.

Sometimes our crew just needs a break too.

Rather than eliminate after-hours drop-offs altogether, we’re going to continue offering them whenever we reasonably can.

If someone is available, we’ll be happy to arrange an after-hours drop-off. Please do not assume someone will be at the shop unless you have called and received confirmation.

🌙 During early Fall Archery, after-hours drop-offs may be available as late as 9 PM on most hunting days.

⏰ After Daylight Saving Time ends, after-hours availability will be reduced to as late as 8 PM.

🚫 After-hours drop-offs will not be available during r***e season.

After-hours service is for whole, hide-on deer only. Boneless meat, skinned deer and quartered deer must be brought during regular business hours.

We know this service is convenient, especially when it’s warm outside and you need to get a deer into a cooler. We’re not eliminating it. We’re simply asking you to call first and understand that there will occasionally be evenings when we aren’t available.

🏹 Fall Archery starts this Saturday, October 3!

Blue Mountain Deer Processing will be open and ready to start accepting deer at 10 AM opening day. As we head into another busy season, here’s everything you need to know:

🥩 Full-Service Deer Processing
• Whole deer accepted — hide on or off
• Quartered deer accepted
• Boneless meat welcome for fresh & smoked products
• No previously ground meat
• Custom cut & hand-boned to your specifications
• All cuts, burger & specialty products are vacuum sealed, labeled & frozen

🔥 Specialty Products
Our Sweet Bologna and Smoked Kielbasa continue to be customer favorites!
Check out our full price sheet for all of our fresh and smoked product options.

🕙 Shop Hours
• Open 7 days a week through archery, r***e and late archery seasons
• Regular hours: 10 AM – 7 PM
• Hours may be reduced between seasons and after Christmas

🌙 After-Hours Drop-Offs
• Available most hunting days during Archery season until 9 PM
• After Daylight Saving Time ends, after-hours availability is reduced to 8 PM
• After-hours drop-offs are not available during R***e season
• After-hours availability is offered as a convenience and may be unavailable at our discretion on any given day

🦌 Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD)
We are a PA Game Commission-approved processor and can accept deer harvested from any DMA in Pennsylvania as well as deer harvested out of state.

❤️ Hunters Sharing the Harvest
Have an extra deer? You can donate it at no cost to you.
We debone and grind donated deer, with the meat going to the Bethesda Mission in Mechanicsburg to help feed families in our community and throughout Pennsylvania.

We have some exciting news to share!

Our family recently became the new owners of Carlisle Country Living in Carlisle!

Many of you know us from Blue Mountain, and over the past 11 years we’ve been incredibly fortunate to grow this business with the support of our customers and community. We’re excited to take on another local business and see where we can take it in the years ahead.

Carlisle Country Living carries everything from feed, bird seed and lawn & garden supplies to wood pellets, pet supplies and more — with quite a bit more planned for the future.

And there’s a reason we recently asked how many of you use wood pellets…

We see a great opportunity to bring some of what we offer in Carlisle to our Blue Mountain customers, too. Pellets are just the beginning. We’d love to hear what else you’d be interested in — deer feed, corn, food plot supplies, hunting blinds, firewood, or something else?

All orders have been completed and customers were notified earlier this week.

Our final two pickup days are:
📅 Today – March 20th from 10am to 6pm
📅 Monday – March 23rd from 10am to 6pm

Any orders not picked up on these days will require you to call us and leave a message to schedule a pickup. Holding fees will apply if not done so in a timely manner.

After these dates, we will be closed for the season.

We want to take a moment to thank everyone for another incredible year. This season brought a record number of deer, and we truly appreciate the continued support from both our loyal customers and those who trusted us for the first time. It means a lot to our small business.
