Our time with this Grizzly has come to a close. We move into their ancestral habitats, bringing our dirt bikes and guns; our garbage, fences, chickens and livestock. Our barbecues, roads and gardens …. And there are conflicts of course. How could there not be? And the bears always lose. Always. It’s not their fault. I wouldn’t trade this beautiful animal for a thousand hogs.

I’m rethinking all of this.

Hi folks.

The American Berkshire Foundation needs your help for our annual scholarship program. Each year, we provide financial assistance to worthy students that are involved with the American Berkshire Association. Applicants should be a junior or senior American Berkshire Association member in good standing, or a team purebred member or have completed a 2 year Berkshire project through FFA or 4-H programs.

We are presently reviewing applications for 2021 awards.
